Two NCTAF States Each Awarded $45,000 from KnowledgeWorks Foundation - Grant Money Opens Opportunities for South Carolina and West Virginia to Transform Education
The National Commission on Teaching and America’s Future (NCTAF) today announced that two of its partner states have received $45,000 planning grants from KnowledgeWorks Foundation to develop initiatives that transform teaching and learning for the future.

Ohio's Career Pathways program - Workers gain skills to succeed
KnowledgeWorks Foundation announced today the release of a new documentary, Career Pathways Explored: Stories from Ohio. The documentary details the importance of forming partnerships between education, economic, social and workforce development organizations to improve the skills of low wages workers and better serve the workforce needs of employers.

National report - Ohio’s progress in increasing low-income student participation rates in higher education
In its recent analysis, “College Participation Rates for Students from Low Income Families by State,” the research newsletter, Postsecondary Education Opportunity, rated Ohio fifth nationally in the rate of increase (4.8%). From FY2002 to FY2005, Ohio’s overall rank improved from 21st to 15th nationally in overall low income participation in higher education.
