Rosalind Chivis
Rosalind Chivis is the newly appointed Assistant Superintendent for Secondary Education in the School District of Philadelphia. She has served for the past five years as the Executive Director for Secondary Education in the Chief Academic Office.
She is a dedicated professional with over 27 years of committed service to education and has extensive leadership experience in major components of the educational arena with demonstrated success in many areas including; (1) curriculum and instruction, (2) program design and implementation, (3) professional development, and (4) school and district leadership. Additionally, she has been extremely successful in building partnerships, engaging parents and community and improving student achievement.
Her motivation and passion to positively affect the lives of young people has allowed her to innovatively address the challenges of current day urban education. She has been closely involved in the School of the Future project and continues to lend support to that faculty and the educational program.
