Dr. Richard Beach
Dr. Richard Beach serves as the Innovation Wizard for the Classroom of the Future Foundation, a non-profit organization in San Diego County serving the 43 school districts, hundreds of teachers and thousands of students to inspire business leaders and educators to embrace new learning technologies and innovative practices that improve our children's academic achievement.
Beach retired as a technology executive with Xerox Corporation after having managed document technology in the western states and an extensive research career at Xerox PARC. Previously, he was a university professor in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo in Canada. His philanthropic interests focus on math and science in the public K-12 education arena, and he serves as CFO of the San Diego Science Alliance, member of the Science and Technology Working Group of The San Diego Foundation, and president of the private Amazing Possibilities Foundation. He is also an active aviation advocate for flight safety in San Diego and the Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association.
