Chris Walsh
Chris Walsh is a Digital Learning Specialist at WestEd working on new ways to use collaborative technology and interactive media in the K-12 community. Chris is a former middle-school teacher with a wide range of experience in education and business. He currently assists a wide-range of education organizations & corporations with strategic planning, eLearning, multimedia production, and professional development. He is also a popular speaker at education conferences around the country.
His recent projects include: Doing What Works, a best practices website launched by the US Dept of Education; the Google Teacher Academy; the Infinite Thinking Machine blog and shows; and live webcasts for the NECC and CUE conferences. Chris is an active member of ISTE and Computer Using Educators (CUE), and he serves as the chair of the CUE Communications Committee. He was an advisor to the 2004 National Education Technology Plan.
Chris earned an M.A. from Stanford University in "Learning, Design, and Technology." He also holds a B.A. in history and a M.Ed. from UCLA.
