We invite you to review the Foundation's current initiatives as described under High Schools, Adult Learning, College Access & Success, and Communities & Schools. Grant support to schools and/or other eligible nonprofit organizations for these initiatives has been awarded primarily in response to Request for Proposal (RFP) processes which have already taken place. Should you have specific questions regarding any of these areas, please submit your communication via the Contact Us form located on our website.

From time to time, the Foundation will make small grants to organizations* that are not eligible for funding through the initiatives detailed under High Schools, Adult Learning, College Access & Success, and Communities & Schools. It should be noted that resources for such requests are very limited and only a small percentage of applicants receive funding. This is not due to lack in quality, but rather the degree of alignment to the Foundation's goals and funding priorities. Grants are generally limited to education-related projects that impact the citizens of Ohio.
Should you wish to explore the possibility of funding, please contact or send a brief letter of inquiry to: Chris Wuest
KnowledgeWorks Foundation
One West 4th Street, Suite 200
Cincinnati, OH 45202
(513) 929-1105

The letter should contain a brief history of the organization and a description of the project for which funds are being requested. It should identify the director or manager of the project and include project timeline, estimated budget, dollar amount being requested and plans for evaluating the project's impact. Staff will conduct an initial assessment of the proposed project and will contact the applicant as soon as possible regarding the disposition of the request.
