Eileen has been a leader in growing software businesses for the past 25 years. She recently retired as Vice President and General Manager from Avaya, where she led Avaya’s $575 million Voice over IP Applications business and Avaya’s moves into unified communications. A 14 year veteran of Lotus Development, she was Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Notes product division, the pioneering email and groupware. Under her leadership, revenue for Lotus Notes/Domino tripled to $700 million worldwide while users grew from 5 million to 50 million in four years. She is also the former CEO of FairMarket, Inc., which was sold to eBay, and a veteran of The Boston Consulting Group. Eileen is active as an independent director on corporate boards, including Agilysys and John H Harland.

Eileen is passionate about the power of education, and in particular, science education. She is member of the Brown University Board of Trustees where she chairs the Audit Committee and is a member of the Advisory and Executive Committee. She is a former member of the Lesley University Board of Trustees, where she chaired the Finance and Audit Committees and was a member of the Strategy Committee. She is a member of the Advisory Boards of the Massachusetts Business Alliance for Education and the Pew Charitable Trust Internet and American Life Project.

Eileen is a graduate of Brown University and received her MBA from Harvard University. She lives in Cambridge, MA with her husband Josh Posner, and is the mother of three sons.
